About DigitalDollar

Swiss banking-alternative Fluid Finance issues DigitalDollar as the onchain leg of a full-service money app. Regulated in Switzerland, Fluid Finance SA holds the fiat reserves behind DUSD at European banks and lets verified account holders mint and redeem it one-for-one, in seconds, directly from a deposit account to a wallet on Arbitrum. That makes redemption a genuine retail right rather than an institutional privilege, though it runs through Fluid's KYC-gated accounts, available to users across the EU, UK and several nearby countries. The token sits alongside Fluid's equity token and its banking features, which include personal IBANs and multi-currency accounts, so DigitalDollar functions less as a standalone stablecoin than as the crypto face of a regulated cash account. Fluid has not disclosed exactly which Swiss license it operates under, and the token's circulation is small compared with the mainstream dollar coins.
