About Monerium EUR emoney

Long before MiCA gave euro stablecoins a rulebook, Monerium had already secured the world's first e-money license for blockchains, granted by Iceland's regulator in 2019. That legal footing matters: EURE is not a synthetic dollar or a crypto-collateralised experiment but genuine electronic money, each token backed one-for-one by safeguarded euro deposits and redeemable at any time. Founded in part by a former chairman of the Central Bank of Iceland's supervisory board, the company took a regulation-first path from the start. Any verified user can move euros on and off chain and redeem at par directly with the issuer, which is why EURE is used as programmable euro cash rather than a trading token. It lives across eight networks, with Gnosis Chain historically its busiest home.
