Galaxy Digital

Galaxy Digital is a financial-services firm built entirely around digital assets, founded by the former hedge-fund manager Mike Novogratz. It does for crypto much of what a traditional bank does for stocks and bonds: trading and market-making, lending, asset management, custody, and advisory work, giving institutions a regulated on-ramp to the digital-asset market. More recently it has pushed into a second business that fits its data-center expertise, building AI and high-performance computing infrastructure, which diversifies it beyond pure crypto. Founded in 2018 and based in New York, Galaxy moved its listing from Toronto to Nasdaq in 2025 as it courted US investors. Because so much of its business ties back to crypto prices and trading activity, the stock behaves like a leveraged bet on the digital-asset market, with the newer AI-infrastructure venture offering a partial hedge and a second growth story that the market is still learning to value.
