About zkUSD Dollar

zkUSD is the dollar unit of Goal3, an onchain betting protocol built on ZKsync Era. Rather than being sold against a cash reserve, the token is a crypto-collateralized dollar used inside the platform, minted and redeemed through its contracts. Its stated redemption terms are unusually open for a protocol token: holders can redeem at par rather than being confined to secondary-market trading. It lives natively on ZKsync Era, Matter Labs' zero-knowledge rollup, and carries no formal regulatory framework or issuer license. Public disclosure on zkUSD is thin, so its precise collateral mix and peg mechanics are best confirmed against Goal3's own documentation. As a single-chain, protocol-native stablecoin tied to a specific application, it is closer to in-house settlement money for that platform than a general-purpose dollar meant to circulate widely across the market.
