Toronto-based Celestica builds and assembles electronics that other companies sell under their own names, a business known as electronics manufacturing services. It makes hardware across two broad segments: gear for data center, communications and enterprise customers, and products for aerospace, defense, industrial, healthcare and capital-equipment markets. The work spans design, manufacturing and supply-chain management across dozens of plants worldwide.

Celestica began in 1994 as IBM's manufacturing operation in Canada before being spun off and expanding through acquisitions. Long a low-margin assembler, it has lately been lifted by demand from hyperscale data centers, which buy custom switches and servers as they build out AI infrastructure. That has shifted its mix toward higher-value work and turned a once-sleepy contract manufacturer into one of the more visible beneficiaries of the data center boom.
