Formerly Bitfarms, Keel Infrastructure rebranded and redomiciled to the United States in April 2026 as it turned away from bitcoin mining toward AI. The company develops and owns data centers and the power infrastructure behind them, targeting the high-density electricity that AI and high-performance computing consume. Its pitch rests on a pipeline of roughly 2.2 gigawatts of power capacity with grid connections already secured across Pennsylvania, Washington state and Quebec, which is the scarcest ingredient in the data-center boom. Keel raised $458 million in convertible notes to speed up that build-out. The value of the business hinges on converting secured power into signed leases with hyperscale tenants; until those leases land, it is a land-and-power bank betting that AI demand keeps outrunning available electricity.
