About Invesco PHLX Semiconductor ETF

SOXQ tracks the same benchmark traders quote when they talk about 'the SOX.' The fund mirrors the PHLX Semiconductor Sector Index, a modified market-cap-weighted basket of about 30 US-listed chip companies spanning designers, manufacturers and the equipment makers that supply the fabs. Top holdings read like a map of the industry: Nvidia, Broadcom, Micron, Applied Materials and KLA, with caps that keep the largest names from swamping the rest. Invesco launched it in 2021 as a lower-cost rival to older semiconductor funds, charging 0.19 percent. Chips are deeply cyclical and increasingly central to AI, so the fund tends to swing harder than the broad market in both directions, something its high beta reflects. Investors reach for it to make a concentrated bet on semiconductors, one of the most economically important and volatile corners of technology.
