About ProShares Short QQQ

Traders who want to bet against the Nasdaq without shorting stocks or options use PSQ, which is engineered to move opposite the Nasdaq-100. For a single day it aims to return the inverse of the index, so if the Nasdaq-100 falls one percent the fund is designed to rise about one percent, and vice versa. ProShares achieves this with swaps and other derivatives rather than by holding stocks. The catch is the daily reset: because the target resets every session, returns over weeks or months can drift well away from the simple inverse of the index thanks to compounding, especially in choppy markets. That makes it a short-term tactical tool for hedging tech exposure or wagering on a pullback, not a buy-and-hold position. ProShares launched it in 2006, and it remains a common way to fade the tech-heavy benchmark.

On MyRWA, PSQ trades tokenized across 4 on-chain venues - see the listings below.
