About Stablecorp QCAD

Canada has almost no native digital dollar, which is the gap QCAD was built to fill. Issued by Canada Stablecorp through a dedicated trust, it targets one Canadian dollar and holds matching reserves at regulated Canadian institutions, with custody at Tetra Trust and monthly attestations from a chartered accounting firm. It cleared an important milestone by securing approval under Canada's interim, prospectus-based framework for stablecoins, positioning it as the country's first regulated CAD token. Direct par redemption runs through approved institutional partners rather than a retail counter, so ordinary users typically transact on the secondary market while authorized participants handle mint and redeem. Living on Ethereum and Solana, QCAD stays a comparatively small, compliance-first instrument aimed at Canadian payments, trading and treasury use rather than global scale. Its differentiator is less technology than the regulatory clearance and domestic banking relationships behind it.
