About Yuzu USD
The senior slice of a structured yield product, Yuzu USD is anything but a plain reserve token. Its operator, Yuzu Money, runs tokenized vaults on newer chains and issues yzUSD as the over-collateralized senior tranche, sitting above a junior tranche and a reserve fund that absorb losses first; first-party materials cite collateral above 103 percent. Holders effectively lend into the strategy and earn a variable yield, with redemptions processed over roughly one to three days. Par redemption runs through the protocol's approved channels rather than an open retail window, and no formal legal issuer is disclosed in Yuzu's own materials. The token launches on Monad and Plasma, both young high-throughput networks. As a leveraged, tranche-structured instrument, yzUSD has more moving parts than a cash-backed dollar, and its stability rests on the junior buffer and the performance of the underlying vault strategy.
