About apxUSD

Most dollar tokens hold cash or Treasuries; apxUSD holds preferred stock. Issued by Apyx through a BVI entity, it is collateralized by a basket of variable-rate preferred shares from digital-asset treasury companies, including Strategy's STRC, making it a bet on corporate dividends rather than bank deposits. That design showed its risk in mid-2026, when a slide in those preferred shares dragged apxUSD to around 90 cents, a reminder that its backing is not risk-free. Primary minting and redemption are open only to approved institutional market makers in permitted jurisdictions, with US, EU, UK and Canadian users restricted, so everyone else trades on the secondary market. A separate wrapper, apyUSD, captures the dividend yield for those who want it. Live on Ethereum, BNB Chain and Base, apxUSD is an early experiment in building a stable-value token on top of equity income rather than fiat reserves.
