About Sui Dollar
Stripe's acquisition of Bridge gave it a stablecoin factory, and USDsui is one of its outputs: the Sui network's native dollar, spun up on Bridge's Open Issuance platform. Announced in late 2025 and live in early 2026, the token is fully backed by US Treasuries and other liquid instruments, with reserves custodied by BlackRock, Fidelity and Superstate and issuance built to fit the US GENIUS Act framework. Minting and redemption at par run through the institutional issuer, so ordinary users acquire it on the secondary market and within Sui apps rather than at Bridge's window. Its distinguishing feature is economic: it is among the first major layer-1 native stablecoins to route reserve yield back to the host network instead of the issuer. That design ties USDsui's growth directly to Sui's own DeFi and payments ambitions.
