About SoulPeg USD
SoulPeg starts from an unusual security idea: its core deposit token is soul-bound, permanently tied to the wallet that minted it and non-transferable, which makes it useless to flash-loan attackers. SPUSD is the liquid counterpart, a standard BEP-20 wrapper on BNB Chain that a holder mints by wrapping the soul-bound deposit and can always unwrap back again, burning SPUSD on redemption. The dollar target is defended onchain by a market-making bot trading the SPUSD pool on PancakeSwap, while the underlying reserves are put to work in lending strategies such as Venus. There is no company issuing or redeeming it; the claim is enforced by verified smart contracts, with liquidity partly time-locked and the code public. It is a small, self-contained experiment in whether soul-bound accounting can make a decentralized dollar harder to exploit, and it lives entirely within BNB Chain.
