About US Sonic Dollar

Sonic's flagship dollar, USSD, is backed one-for-one by tokenized US Treasury funds rather than by crypto or a synthetic hedge, drawing on Superstate's USTB, BlackRock's BUIDL and WisdomTree's short-term Treasury fund. It runs on infrastructure from Frax's FraxNet arm and markets itself as aligned with the US GENIUS Act stablecoin rules, publishing onchain proof of reserves. Redemption is the strong retail kind: the issuer says holders can redeem at par at any time, with no lockups or withdrawal delays, and the token is meant to stay fully liquid and one-for-one backed. Native bridging is meant to keep it consistent across many chains from a Sonic base. Because its reserves are themselves tokenized Treasury products from established managers, USSD's credibility rests largely on those underlying funds and on the honesty of its reserve reporting rather than on any novel peg engineering.
